Noogram is an open system that runs long AI-agent missions inside your own perimeter and records each step in plain files you own. Its kernel, cosmon, is a stateless CLI. It assigns each agent an identity and lifecycle, and supports recovery after a crash.
- Cosmon organizes agents as a team. It divides a long mission into small tasks with precise goals. Agents work on them concurrently and wait when one task depends on another. Panels, reviews, and counter-arguments let agents examine one another's findings before they reach you. This organization also applies when missions run at scale.
- The work runs inside your perimeter. The agent works on your corpus, on your machine. It writes the steps, decisions, and results to plain files on a disk you control. The model call is the only part that leaves your machine. Cosmon requires no server, database, or Cosmon account.
- You control what lands. The agent gives you a draft on its own branch, together with its reasoning and evidence. The gates mark anything they cannot verify as unverified. A draft lands only after it passes your gates.
- The work record is tamper-evident. Each mission produces a complete, replayable work record. If a person or agent edits it afterwards without resealing it,
cs verifyreports the change. This check detects careless edits; protection against a determined forger is outside its scope. - Work resumes after a crash. Agents record their work in those same plain files, so a fresh worker can continue where the crashed worker stopped.
- Cosmon works with the harnesses you already use: Claude Code, Codex, Aider, and other CLI agents; hosted APIs from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral AI, Qwen, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, and more; or local models through llama.cpp and Ollama.
- Federation (under construction) will let several machines cooperate on one mission without a central owner.
The system consists of:
cosmon
is the orchestration kernel. It models agents as long-lived molecules,
uses the filesystem as the source of truth, and recovers from crashes without a server.
AGPL-3.0
godel-kernel
is the formal kernel. It machine-checks every governance invariant
and reports its state, including what isn’t yet proven.
